Thanks very much Kally, I like that.
And the same to you!
Merry Christmas Allen! Thanks for another year of great posts. And it is snowing in Michigan finally! 😀
Thank you Chris! It sounds like you might have a white Christmas after all!
The same to you!
Thank you Jill!
Merry Christmas from the Arizona desert.
Thank you. You live in a beautiful place!
Thanks for all the wonderful posts we’ve enjoyed this year. Merry Christmas, and here’s hoping for a better 2021!
Thank you Eliza. Yes, I hope things will get back to normal next year!
Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year Allen.
Like everyone else, I truly look forward to your post every week.
I learn something new every week. Thank you.
Merry Christmas.
You’re welcome Dave, and thank you! Have a great 2021!
Happy Christmas to you. This comes with grateful thanks for all the interesting information and fine photographs which you have given us through yet another year. It is much appreciated.
Thank you, I’m happy to hear that.
Merry Christmas, greetings from Sweden 🙂
Thank you. I’d guess that you must have plenty of snow for a white Christmas!
Sadly no snow just darkness 😛
We have actually had a few quite warm Decembers the last years. Actually even once that Christmas Eve was warmer than Midsummer 😛
Wow, that’s a real surprise. I didn’t know it had warmed so drastically in your part of the world.
It is actually quite scary, we barely had any snow in Stockholm during the last winter…
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope your drinking water doesn’t depend on snowfall like it does in many of our western states.
We are lucky with having plenty of large fresh water lakes spread out over the country. With a lot of rain and snowfall in the mountains along our borders helping to continuously fill them 🙂
Thank you, I’m glad to hear that! I hope you return to snowy winters again though. We’ve had two or three almost snowless winters too but we just had a good storm, so it can happen.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas too, Allen! No snow here, but it is 27 degrees and frosty this morning.
Thank you Lavinia. I hope you’ll see plenty of snowpack in the hills this year. It has been far too dry in the west these past few years.
Thank you, Allen. May you, too, have a lovely Christmas. And I’m sure we’re all praying for some relief in 2021! Stay safe and warm. I pass that Apache Blessing back your way.
You’re welcome Ginny, and thank you for your always happy and thoughtful comments.
I do try to live by that Apache blessing and I hope we’ll all be able to in the new year!
And a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too! Your blogs are the highlight of my week! Much gratitude to you for all you do!
Linda MacGowan
Thank you Linda, it makes me happy to hear that.! I hope 2021 will bring a little more peace to us all.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too. Thank you for all the ‘gifts’ you’ve shared this year. It was so helpful to see all the beauty I could this year – both in person and online.
You’re welcome Sue, and thank you. I’m glad I could still show it to you!
Wishing you the joys of the season – and you have shown us so many joys in our world. Thank you
You’re welcome and thank you Vicky. I wish you the same!

Thank you Deb. I’m hoping 2021 will be a little gentler for us all!
and merry christmas to you, thanks for always being a bright spot in an otherwise dreary boring year!!
You’re welcome Tom, I’m glad you think of this blog in that way! Safe and happy travels!
Thank you and best wishes to you for peace and good health in the new year. I so appreciate your postings. Your knowledge and love of nature touches my heart. You have the gift of conveying that love through your words. And I love the quotes at the end and have saved them over the years. I am printing and binding them as a gift to my children for Christmas. I find it very peaceful to read them before I go to sleep.
Thanks very much for your sweet comment Ann. I do love nature and I’m always glad people see that. I hope the rest of the message comes through as well; that they too can love nature.
What a great idea you’ve had for using the quotes I use! They’re all from great and knowledgeable people and I can’t think of a better use for them than passing them on. I started using them because they seemed to say all the things I was trying to say but couldn’t. I hope you and your family will have a safe and happy 2021.
Merry Christmas and THANK YOU for all your insightful posts throughout the year. Entertaining ‘and’ teaching is a gift, and you certainly possess it. 🙂
Thanks very much Judy. I honestly think of this more as sharing than teaching but no matter what we call it I’m always happy to hear that people enjoy it. I hope you’ll have a happy and safe 2021!
Merry Christmas from the Seacoast.
Thank you Eunice. May the weather gods be kind to us both this coming year!
Happy and safe holidays to you as well. I so enjoy your posts that teach me something new and wonderful about nature.
Thanks very much, I’m happy to hear that!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! Thank you for your posts which always delight and inform and have been especially appreciated in this now almost past crazy year.
You’re welcome, and thank you. This year has seemed a little longer than most but it’s nearly over.
A merry Christmas to you as well. Stay safe and healthy to bring more of your interesting posts in the time to come.
Thank you Zyriacus. I don’t have any plans to stop just yet. Have a great 2021!
Thank you so very much for years of sharing your knowledge, joy, walks, and photos. Love your blog and look forward to it each week. All the best to you and yours in the coming year – and Merry Christmas! “Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.”
